Science today is dynamic, fast paced and hands-on. Opportunities for our brightest young students to engage directly in real exploration and discovery are so often missed but not so at the prestigious KSA Science Academy in South Korea. The school is equipped with outstanding state of the art laboratories including a cancer research lab and an astrological lab that opens up to the stars! Students at KAS are making a difference to their world. This government funded school aims to prepare students as creative global leaders, who will enhance their nation’s competitiveness in science and technology and contribute to mankind. Dr. Kwong Jang-hyuk says, “We are fostering global leaders required by the global community.” While the school boasts a state of the art library a sense that history is being created abounds. If you are more interested in active researching then writing the books KSA might be ideal for you. Student Byeong-Chang explains, “There is something special being created by the students.”
Scholarships are available for talented Australian Science and Mathematics students to complete Years 10-12. Entrance exams can be arranged remotely. The curriculum program also includes international science research visits for the student groups. Students are welcome to use the Academy playing fields and to participate in organised sporting events.
Excellent boarding facilities are available with two students sharing a modern room. A specialized team directly supports the international cohort including a staffed health and counseling center.
