Last week was wonderful for Korean/Victorian partnership building. Director Soo Hwan Kang from the Korean Embassy was in Victoria. His first port of call was Yuille Park PS which was a ‘Plant a School’ who introduced Korean language with the support of the Korean Government.
Then Director Kang meet with the Principals from Phoenix and Ballarat Secondary Colleges for discussion and planning. This was followed in the evening with a meeting involving Jo Tate, Insun and Joy Winstone. The following day was a wonderful showcase day at Southmore PS who are in the ‘Plant a School’ program and who have just opened a wonderful Korean garden on the school grounds.
Director Soo Hwan Kang was so interested and supportive of what we are doing in Victoria and we look forward to his next visit.
